Hi everyone - thanks for all the votes on this one, it's the highest-voted request on the board and we're planning to tackle it soon.
Here's the direction we're taking - but before we start building, we want to check this actually solves your problem.
What we're building - "Recurring Plan" (semi-automatic):
Customers (or admins) can turn any plan into a recurring subscription with a monthly (or custom) renewal date
On the renewal date, Powerlynx sends the customer an SMS or/and email with a one-click payment link
The customer pays through any of their preferred gateways - Stripe, PayPal, Netcash, PayFast, mobile money, whatever your ISP has enabled
After payment, the plan renews automatically and the next reminder is scheduled
Cancel anytime from the customer portal
Why not fully automatic ("card on file")? It only works with card-based gateways - mobile money, EFT and many local payment methods don't support recurring charges. Payment-link approach works with every gateway, which we think better matches how most end-users actually pay. One extra tap in exchange for full payment-method flexibility.
We'd love your input before we commit:
Would this actually solve the problem you had in mind when voting? Or were you specifically looking for true "no-tap" card-on-file?
Reply here - the more voices we get, the better we can shape this. No firm ETA yet, but the more clarity on requirements, the faster we can move.

We aim to implement a system for MDUs where residents can simply plug in a router, access a hotspot page displaying available packages, and set up monthly billing automatically. Our current solution, Splynx, is no longer suitable as it has removed the hotspot function and doesn't support automated monthly billing without client interaction. Therefore, we are seeking a solution that provides these capabilities seamlessly. There are hotspot solutions available that offer monthly plans.

Powerlynx does not store customer payment details, so we cannot automatically renew monthly subscriptions.
To renew a voucher that has expired in 1 month, you simply need to reconnect to Wifi, select a new voucher, and make the payment. This process will only take about 1 minute of your time.

Anything we're missing? Edge cases you'd want handled?
